ESIP UPDATE: October 9, 2017

Good morning ESIP –

I'd like to start off the week with a big THANK YOU to Adam Shepherd and David Bassendine for their contributions to the recently sunset Drupal Working Group. Thankfully I'm sure the ESIP Drupalistas will be around in cyberspace, and at meetings, to chat open-source web solutions!

In other news, registration is OPEN for the 2018 ESIP Winter Meeting, January 9th – 11th in Bethesda, MD! Our theme for 2018 is Data for our Changing Earth: Realizing the socioeconomic value of Earth science data.

Lastly, a reminder to everyone that nominations for ESIP leadership positions are OPEN! We welcome new faces to leadership!  If you've never served in a leadership capacity the committees are a great place to get started. If you are new or have questions, please feel free to send an email to nominations@esipfed.org – we are here to help! Nominations will be accepted through October 31, 2017.

Best,
Annie B. and the ESIP staff
