Join the Open Science and Data Help Desk at AGU

The Open Science & Data Help Desk, our largest event to date, will be hosted by ESIP and AGU during the 2022 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting from Dec 12-15.

Through the Help Desk, researchers can learn about skills and techniques that will help further their research and make their data and software more open and FAIR. The Open Science & Data Help Desk will be staffed with experts from the Earth science informatics community to answer data-related questions and to demo useful resources.

Informational Webinar: Radiant Earth Crop Detection Challenge (Dec 7)

Radiant Earth just launched their latest data competition with NASA Harvest. The goal of this open challenge is to detect crop field boundaries for Rwandan smallholder farmers using multispectral observations. Want to participate or learn more? Join us for a Q&A webinar on December 7 at noon EST.

Scalable and Computationally Reproducible Approaches to Arctic Research (March 27-31)

This is a five-day, in-person workshop at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis in Santa Barbara, California. The workshop will provide Arctic researchers with an introduction to advanced topics in computationally reproducible research in python, including software and techniques for working with very large datasets.
