The Second Annual State of Open Data Policy Summit (June 12)

Mark your calendars for the 2nd annual data policy summit hosted by the Radiant Earth Foundation. An exciting group of data leaders will share real-world examples of open data and data reuse initiatives from around the world. Join the summit on Monday, June 12 from 9 AM to noon Eastern.

NSF Public Access and Open Science Working Group Listening Session (June 16)

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is hosting a listen and learn session on Friday, June 16 from 1-2:00 PM Eastern, which will be oriented toward stakeholders from the Geosciences (GEO) and Biological Sciences (BIO) research communities. This is a chance to weigh in on ongoing implementation planning for NSF’s upcoming NSF Public Access Plan 2.0.

NOAA Science Advisory Board (June 15)

NOAA is soliciting nominations for new members for the Science Advisory Board (SAB). At this time, individuals are sought with expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning in the fields of weather and climate, environmental remote sensing, engineering for coastal resilience, social and behavioral sciences, and tropical cyclones. Individuals with expertise in other NOAA mission areas are also welcome to apply.
