ESIP UPDATE: 12.06.21

Good Morning ESIP!

Short(ish) email this week because even if you don't have AGU tunnel vision this week, you're probably racing through the tasks that pile up during this time of the year.

A couple ESIP highlights if you are following #AGU21 this week:

  • The header image above is my personal favorite from Susan Shingledecker's lightning talk on agile organizations. You'll have to check out her ESIP talk to find out why there's a cheetah.
  • The Data Help Desk is up and running. Follow along with #DataHelpDesk on Twitter or swing by in-person AGU Central (Hall B1). A BIG thank you to our ~40 volunteers helping out!
  • Ignite@AGU is Wed, Dec 15 at the Central City BBQ. Doors open 6 pm CST. (I've heard the practice talks and you will want to hear them, too!)

Friday is the last day to get in your images in for the ESIP Photo Contest. We'll be featuring the photos in our Annual Report and sending the winners Making Data Matter to-go coffee mugs.

Also, remember to take the Data Readiness Cluster survey by Dec 22: bit.ly/ai-ready-data

Warm Regards,

Allison Mills
ESIP Communications Manager
