New NASA Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center (SEDAC) Datasets
New datasets have been released by the NASA Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center (SEDAC) operated by CIESIN:

–Two new high-resolution data sets map global, man-made impervious surfaces and urban extents in unprecedented detail. The data is derived from 2010 Global Land Survey (GLS) free Landsat archive. The production of HBASE and GMIS resulted from a collaboration between the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the Department of Geographical Sciences at the University of Maryland, and was funded through the NASA Land Cover Land Use Change Program. The data sets are available for free download, with four representative maps illustrating the data layers.

India Annual Winter Cropped Area, 2001–2016 consists of annual winter cropped areas for most of India (not including the northeastern states) from 2000–2001 to 2015–2016. The data can be used in land cover and land use change studies, agricultural applications, and to assist with policy-making in regards to sustainable agricultural intensification.

DMPTool Survey
