Thanks for a great July Meeting! Stay tuned for what’s next from ESIP.

Board of Directors & Governance

The ESIP Board of Directors is the governing body responsible for the strategic direction, financial oversight, and legal integrity of the organization. ESIP is a community-driven nonprofit that brings together data professionals, scientists, and IT practitioners to make Earth science data more discoverable and useful. The Board provides the high-level “bridge” between ESIP’s community activities and its corporate responsibilities.

If you are interested in being considered to serve on the Board, please fill out the ESIP Board of Directors interest form.

Filling out this form does not guarantee a position on the Board and does not require you to serve on the Board immediately or at all. This form is an initial step in expressing your interest before the next election cycle (usually May / June).

Committees

The Board is supported by several committees that manage specific aspects of the organization. These are divided into Administrative Committees (which focus on the business of ESIP) and Technical Committees (which focus on the data and science mission).
