The Semantic Technologies Committee helps collaborate with ESIP participants and Collaboration Areas on semantic-related topics. We foster sharing and reuse of ontologies and controlled vocabularies. Our goal is to provide a collaborative environment for the development of ontologies and ontology-based standards.

Semantic technologies evolve quickly. As new topics such as Large Language Models, Neuro-symbolic AI, Foundation Models, and Multimodal Semantic Technologies emerge and get adopted, the committee invites researchers in those areas to present their recent work to encourage discussions and new collaborations.

The committee meets every month on the second Tuesday at 2PM ET. Join through the ESIP Community Calendar: esipfed.org/community-calendar
