Council of Data Facilities
Rajat Shinde from the NASA MSFC Office of Data Science and Informatics (ODSI), University of Alabama will present on GeoCroissant this month. It is a metadata schema that extends MLCommons Croissant for the geospatial domain. It enables interoperability with cloud-native geospatial formats and standards such as STAC, GeoDCAT, OGC TrainingDML. The framework is designed to power end-to-end AI workflows, providing notebook recipes for training and evaluation, with ongoing integrations into Hugging Face viewer and TensorFlow Datasets (TFDS) to make Earth observation datasets directly consumable for machine learning.
Join via Zoom. All meetings are scheduled in U.S. Eastern Time Zone. Convert to your time zone.
What we're working on: The Council of Data Facilities (CDF) is a federation of existing and emerging geoscience data facilities that serves as an effective cyberinfrastructure foundation for domain and interdisciplinary earth system science.
