ESIP UPDATE: September 5, 2017

After a great Summer meeting and a quick August breather, ESIP is gearing up for a busy Fall and Winter!
ESIP is looking for new Student Fellows; ESIP Lab will soon be open for proposals; ESIP will be electing new leaders in the Fall; ESIP Winter Meeting call for sessions will be open soon (and also registration), and it’s not too early to start thinking about the big ESIP prizes: the Martha Maiden award, and the ESIP/AGU’s Falkenberg Award. It’s a good time for clusters to reignite their core conversations, so welcome back! HOP on Slack and keep learning and sharing. It’s the ESIP WAY!

Lots going on in and around ESIP this week! Keep up on all the action on Slack! If you are not already on the ESIP Slack team: here is your INVITATION.  If you are on Slack, are you using the Slack App? It's a much better GUI. Grab it HERE

The ESIP Board is happy to announce that Pat Reiff, long-time ESIPer, has won the best “my ESIP story” contest. With more than 40 entrants—and dozens of dynamite stories—it was really hard to make a final choice. Congrats to Pat, and many thanks to everyone who submitted a story and/or did a video. ESIP is sending Pat her DJI Phantom 3 drone, donated by DJI.

Best,
Bruce and the ESIP staff

As a part of her video ESIP story, Pat tells us what she thinks the best thing about ESIP is!
