ESIP Lab RFP: Machine Learning Tutorials

This special ESIP Lab request for proposals looks to help researchers transition machine learning (ML) workflows into well-documented, interactive, and shareable tutorials. Specifically, the funds will support tutorials related to hydrology, seismology, or the cryosphere.

Up to $5,000 ($7,000 if including Geoweaver) can be awarded for each proposal. Read the full RFP and how the projects will be incorporated into the NSF's GeoSMART curriculum.

Clusters — New Growth

The Open Source Science Transformation Cluster had their first gathering last week and are gathering input from interested participants. Their next telecon is Tuesday, April 26 at noon EDT.

A team from the Information Quality Cluster published an article in the Data Science Journal: “Global Community Guidelines for Documenting, Sharing, and Reusing Quality Information of Individual Digital Datasets.” Join their next telecon Tuesday, April 26 at 2 p.m. EDT.

The Agriculture and Climate Cluster is taking a new direction. The group will be focusing on how ag data is gathered and will be discussing new projects at their next telecon on Tuesday, April 5 at 2 p.m. EDT.
