The Earth Comms Cluster is a community space for Earth science communicators to gather, learn from one another, and strengthen our work.
Each month, we meet to discuss the real-world challenges of communicating science — from crafting narratives to managing multi-channel campaigns with minimal resources. Every March, June, September, and December we host a meet and greet; all our other meetings are low-key discussions and knowledge sharing.
Our goal is to be a trusted community and a gentle productivity engine for the people behind the messages. New participants are welcome!
Earth science organizations don’t speak for themselves. And content creators need community support to fulfill their multifaceted work. Someone — often a single person or small team — juggles multiple channels and campaigns.
Our discussion group has provided insights, shared tools, and built lists that help us get our individual work done while moving towards the Earth science data community’s collective goals for environmental and data stewardship.
We are not a training space or volunteer ad agency — we’re peers helping peers. We swap templates, share calendars, and occasionally collaborate on mutual challenges.
The group aspires to facilitate and further collaboration and innovation between communications professionals in the Earth Science and Earth Observation communities.
