The Data Stewardship Committee meets monthly to discuss updates across ESIP Partner organizations that relate to data management, preservation, and access. The group is a standing committee tasked by ESIP’s governance to help the community determine and evolve leading practices for Earth science data.

Our current work focuses on data management plans (DMPs). As good data stewardship begins during the design phase, the committee has partnered with the Marine Data Cluster to explore how to best support the ESIP community to create and maintain accurate and informative DMPs.

The group meets every second Monday each month at 3 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time. Join through the ESIP Community Calendar.
