Join the California Water Data Consortium at the CA Water Data Summit on Sept. 7–8 at Stanford University. Tara Moran, Consortium CEO, will be moderating a panel on Tools and Science for Sustainable Groundwater Management.

Applications for the Philip Lee Phillips Society Fellowships (Sept 15)

Conduct research at the Library of Congress in the largest and most comprehensive cartographic collection in the world. The eight-week residency includes an $11,500 stipend with the possibility of an additional $2,000 honorarium for a lecture and publication. Apply by September 15.

2024 NCEAS Environmental Data Science Summit Application

The second Environmental Data Science (EDS) Summit takes place in Santa Barbara on Feb 6-7, 2024 to discussĀ communication and translation of environmental data to broad and diverse audiences. Applications to attend the EDS are now open and selected participants (about 100 people) will be notified this fall. There is funding to cover full travel for up to 60 individuals. Learn more through the UC Santa Barbara’s National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS) website.

Living Planet Fellowship call for proposals (Oct 27)

A new fellowship supports the new generation of scientists in European Space Agency (ESA) Member States to undertake cutting-edge research in Earth Observation and Earth System Science, maximise the scientific impact of ESA missions and European EO capacity and respond to the main challenges of the ESA science strategy. With this call ESA plans to support a new set of research post-doctoral positions to be co-funded by ESA.
