Ruth Duerr

Data Stewardship Committee Chair

Ruth Duerr is a research scholar at the Ronin Institute for Independent Scholarship. A generalist, with interests in nearly everything from music and art to science, data, and policy with stops for many other things along the way, she been actively involved in Earth, space and the information and data sciences for several decades. She was the first chair of the ESIP Data Preservation and Stewardship cluster, prior to its becoming the Data Stewardship Committee. More recently she served on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Earth Science; as President of the AGU Earth and Space Science Informatics section, co-chair of the ADC-IARPC-SCADM Vocabularies and Semantics Working Group, and co-chair of several RDA Interest Groups.
