Weekly Update - Feb.25, 2013

Good morning! We have started to add details on the Summer Meeting to the website. Hotel information is posted for the room block. Next Monday we will send out the call for sessions, so be thinking about the what you'd like to contribute to the meeting. For more direct input on the meeting, please join the Visioneers call this afternoon.

Geospatial Cluster Call TODAY, 3 EST.  



The Geospatial group is doing a lot of really neat things! One thing to note is the Geospatial ESIP MashUp on the agenda for today's call. 



Agenda:

 * Introducing GEM 2013 - Geospatial ESIP Mashup 2013

   - Overview of the GIS Experiment our cluster will be conducting this year

   - Potential collaborators, targeted organizations (NASA, NOAA, USGS, EPA)

   - Invaluable support and insight being provided by OGC members (thanks!)

   - Resources (ESIP Testbed, Commons, Amazon Web Services)

   - Plans to document and formalize GEM 2013, with timeline for experiment

 * Upcoming meetings and conferences

   - FOSS4G North America (May 22-24 2013, Minneapolis MN)

   - ESIP Summer Meeting (July 9-12 2013, Chapel Hill, NC)

 * NASA ESDSWD Geosptial Information System Working Group

   - EDSIS support group with overlapping goals





REMINDER: ESIPFed.org | Commons | Testbed | Wiki Single sign-on. Currently, we have single sign-on between all of the ESIPFed drupal sites. Over the next two weeks we will be integrating this sign-on to the wiki as well. More details will follow to those of you with accounts. Thanks to the UAH group for their hard work on this!
