Training workshop: Software tools and strategies for managing sensor networks We are pleased to announce a training workshop “Software tools and strategies for managing sensor networks” sponsored by the Long-Term Ecological Research program (LTER) and the University of San Diego (UCSD). The training will be held April 23-26, 2013, at the LTER Network Office in Albuquerque, NM. We have support to cover travel and lodging for participants that need it. Announcing the Sloan-ICPSR Challenge Grants Program - ICPSR is pleased to announce a Challenge Grants program funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Through this program, ICPSR will fund innovative projects to promote open access to data, support research transparency, improve data citation, and more generally build good practice in data management and stewardship. Possible topics include but are not limited to training for researchers in data management, editorial workflows that integrate data management and access, and research on data replication practices. ICPSR expects to award three to five grants of up to $20,000 each. Proposals are due on April 15, 2013.
