Monday Updates: New ESIP Award Nominations | Meeting Registration & Agenda | AGU Activities
ESIP Award Nominations: As you know the Partnership Committee created two new ESIP awards to recognize outstanding contributions from our community - the President's Award and the ESIP of the Year. Anyone can nominate and we are accepting nominations through Dec. 1 using this form. If you have any questions feel free to email Carol or me.
2012 ESIP Winter Meeting: The ESIP Winter Meeting is Jan. 4-6, 2012 at the Renaissance Hotel, DuPont Circle. The meeting agenda is almost full. We have plenary talks confirmed by Tim Killeen, Assistant Director, Directorate for Geoscience, National Science Foundation and Adrian Gardner, CIO, NASA Goddard. There will also be a panel on cross-agency collaboration that is not quite finalized and time for an EarthCube debrief.
Meeting registration is open now with the early bird rate. Rates will go up Dec. 2. There is a small block of rooms reserved at the Renaissance available by requesting the ESIP Meeting rate. Rooms can be booked by phone or online.
AGU 2011: As always lots going on this week. There will be a flyer of ESIP member sessions along with these events below on the ESSI table in the poster hall. As a heads up, here are a few to mark your calendar for:
- Data Management Short Course, Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1-5 PM
- ESSI Reception, Tuesday, Dec. 7, 6:30-8 PM
- Ignite@AGU, Wednesday, Dec. 8, 6-8 PM
