Meet ESIP's Staff
The Foundation for Earth Science (http://earthsciencefoundation.org/) is the management arm of the ESIP Federation. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3).
Carol Meyer
Executive Director, Foundation for Earth Science
Carol Meyer is an experienced nonprofit and association manager, having spent her 20-year career working in a wide range of organizations. She has successfully secured funding for these organizations, grown membership and implemented sustaining programs that allowed each organization to flourish. Ms. Meyer has been with the Foundation for Earth Science for 9 years and has extensive experience working with the ESIP Federation’s committees, working groups and clusters and with the planning and development of its semi-annual meetings. Since 2008, she has managed the Foundation’s operations.
Erin Robinson
Information and Virtual Community Director, Foundation for Earth Science
In November, 2010, Erin began working for the Foundation for Earth Science. She leverages her knowledge of environmental informatics, in particular collaborative web technologies to support the diverse communities of practice that make up the Federation for Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP). Her current research interest include improving collaboration among distributed partners by enhancing connections at various levels in the interoperability stack, coordinating events to enhance human-to-human relationships, developing collaborative sites that integrate social media to facilitate knowledge exchange and sharing Earth observations through standard data access.
